Sunrise: 44th Street Clean up!

Thanks for checking out this volunteering opportunity. We have adopted 44th street (Between Pine Island and University Drive), and we will be cleaning up the street with your help. Adopt-A-Street is a Broward County Go Green Project.

The meeting point is the plaza closer to the university side next to piper high school.

Rules:

  • Be on time with your waiver forms – Found here https://app.box.com/s/20zpoespcut0zlhfhla22kbaecd19cnr
  • No cell phone use from 9:45 am-10:45 am (be present, you are picking up litter along the street. Safety first!)
  • Follow your team leader
  • Wear comfortable/breathable clothing, hats, and sunscreen as needed.
  • Always keep your gloves and safety vest on at all times while cleaning.
  • Do not pick up sharp products, drugs/needles, hazardous waste, landscaping debris, and large trash (i.e. car bumper, etc.)

Schedule:

  • 9:30 AM Check-in
  • 9:45 AM Safety Discussion (15 Minutes)
  • 9:50 AM-11 AM Clean up
  • 11:15 AM-11:30 AM pack up

We have hand sanitizer, gloves, and pickers.

Be sure to RSVP, sign a waiver (if applicable) and check with the mentioned organizer to confirm details in advance.
