Rickenbacker Causeway Coastal Cleanup

Rickenbacker causeway coastal cleanup

On the third Saturday of every month, volunteers can assist the Causeway staff to beautify this coastal park and keep our ocean ecosystem healthy.

Gloves and trash bags will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable gloves to reduce waste.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Removing microplastics and trash along the Hobie Cat Beach shoreline
  • Additional tasks as needed

Qualifications: Youth under 15 must have a parent/guardian present.

Commitment Expected: Please arrive at your scheduled start time and practice social distancing. Community service hours letters will be emailed, by request, following the event.

Great for families. Bring the kids and friends to beach cleanups and restoration projects. See where plastics end up and why it’s important to reduce plastic use and commit to more sustainable agriculture and fishing with less adverse human impact.

Be sure to RSVP, sign a waiver (if applicable) and check with the mentioned organizer to confirm details in advance.
