Reef cleanup: international coastal cleanup – saturday, september 17th (marine institute / maui ocean center / dive with harmony)

Marine Institute at Maui Ocean Center hosts monthly reef cleanups in collaboration with Maui dive operator, Dive with Harmony.

All cleanups are open to both freedivers and SCUBA divers.
To participate, text Dive with Harmony at 808-868-8155 or DM @divewithharmony on Instagram (@divewithharmony) or FaceBook (@divewithharmony) to RSVP so they can plan tanks and gear accordingly. Gear is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important: All sites are condition dependent. Dive location to be confirmed 48 hours in advance on Instagram (@mocmarineinstitute and @divewithharmony) and MOC Marine Institute’s website.

Great for families. Bring the kids and friends to beach cleanups and restoration projects. See where plastics end up and why it’s important to reduce plastic use and commit to more sustainable agriculture and fishing with less adverse human impact.

Be sure to RSVP, sign a waiver (if applicable) and check with the mentioned organizer to confirm details in advance.
