Join the 808 Cleanups team in restoring this beautiful park nestled in the center of urban Honolulu.

Community Service Hours Signed: YES

Age Groups: All ages are welcome. Participants under 16 years of age must have a parent or guardian attend for the duration of the activity (we love having them participate as well!) We will provide multiple activity options for you based on age, physical ability, and interest.

How to join: Please send an RSVP by any of the following methods:

  • 808 Cleanups App
  • Email at kimeonakane.808cleanups@gmail.com
  • DM on Instagram, and replies on our Facebook group

When your RSVP is confirmed, please make sure to sign the waiver here: 808cleanups.org/waiver

Where to meet: Parking is very tight within the park, so please try to carpool, walk, bus, bike or take other means to get to the site.  Entry to the parking lot is on North Kuakini Street.  Pull in and look for the Brown Toyota Tacoma with 808 Cleanups on the side panels.  Look for orange 808 Cleanups shirts. Exact GPS coordinates: 21.320304, -157.854763

Work priorities:

  • Priority 1: Litter removal both in the park and a walk around the neighborhood.
  • Priority 2:  Invasive species removal, digging, and cutting out invasive grasses around the waterway.

What to bring: Sturdy shoes or boots, sun protection, insect repellent and water.

What 808 Cleanups brings: 808 Cleanups will provide all cleanup tools and supplies. We will also have ice cold water.

Great for families. Bring the kids and friends to beach cleanups and restoration projects. See where plastics end up and why it’s important to reduce plastic use and commit to more sustainable agriculture and fishing with less adverse human impact.

Be sure to RSVP, sign a waiver (if applicable) and check with the mentioned organizer to confirm details in advance.

Some snorkel, dive or beach cleanups may require proper certification and being comfortable in or around the water and familiar with water safety. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out. Mahalo 🤙
