Join the 808 Cleanups team in restoring this beautiful park with a 360 view of the town!

Community Service Hours Signed: YES

Age Groups: All ages are welcome. Participants under 16 years of age must have a parent or guardian attend for the duration of the activity (we love having them participate as well!) We will provide multiple activity options for you based on age, physical ability and interest.

How to join: Please send an RSVP by any of the following methods: 808 Cleanups App, Email at 808cleanups@gmail.com, DM on Instagram, replies on our Facebook group. When your RSVP is confirmed, please make sure to sign the waiver here: 808cleanups.org/waiver

Where to meet: Look for the orange 808 Cleanups truck parked on Ocean View Drive. We’ll meet at the truck for the briefing and supplies distribution. If you come after 4 PM, please meet us at the top of the hill in the park, look for orange 808 Cleanups shirts.

Parking: Street parking available on Ocean View Drive. Please be mindful and respectful of neighbors’ driveways. If Ocean View Drive is full, available street parking on Kaimuki Ave and other nearby streets within a few blocks.

Work priorities:

  • Priority 1: Invasive species removal, digging and cutting out invasive grasses and haole koa to make way for native plants.
  • Priority 2: Litter removal both in the park and a walk around the neighborhood.

What to bring: Sturdy shoes or boots, sun protection and water.

What 808 Cleanups brings: 808 Cleanups will provide all cleanup tools and supplies. We will also have ice cold water.

Great for families. Bring the kids and friends to beach cleanups and restoration projects. See where plastics end up and why it’s important to reduce plastic use and commit to more sustainable agriculture and fishing with less adverse human impact.

Be sure to RSVP, sign a waiver (if applicable) and check with the mentioned organizer to confirm details in advance.
