North Shore Cleanup

December 3, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EST

North Shore Cleanup hawaii wildvoice

The equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic enters the oceans every minute of every day. Join us for a beach cleanup on December 3rd at Malaekahana Beach Campground!

Using sand sifters and a little bit of elbow grease, we’ll be removing larger debris and microplastics from the coastline. Bring your whole ‘Ohana ā€“ this is an afternoon that is keiki, kupuna, and pet friendly!

Volunteers are asked to bring: a reusable water bottle, reef-safe sunblock, comfortable shoes or work boots, and some snacks. All cleanup supplies will be covered, but we welcome you to bring your own gloves as we typically run out of our stock at events this size.

Registration will be available during the event, but we highly encourage you to pre-register as it helps us prep for the event!

For any questions regarding the North Shore Cleanup, you are welcome to email us at info@sustainablecoastlineshawaii.org, or DM us on Instagram at @sustainablecoastlineshawaii.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Great for families. Bring the kids and friends to beach cleanups and restoration projects. See where plastics end up and why it’s important to reduce plastic use and commit to more sustainable agriculture and fishing with less adverse human impact.

Be sure to RSVP, sign a waiver (if applicable) and check with the mentioned organizer to confirm details in advance.

Some snorkel, dive or beach cleanups may require proper certification and being comfortable in or around the water and familiar with water safety. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out. Mahalo šŸ¤™
