Kahuku Golf Course Beach Cleanup

Please consider joining us as we make our way back to Kahuku Golf Course Beach. We are excited to get back out to this site as we did regularly prior to the pandemic, and we want you to come with us.
WHO: All ages are welcome. Please note there is a short 6-minute walk from the Kahuku Golf Course Parking Lot to the cleanup site on the beach. There are no restrooms at the beach, only at the Golf Course Clubhouse.
WHAT: Beach cleanup of marine debris, derelict fishing gear, microplastics, trash, and anything else that we find out there. Please make sure to bring sun protection, and hydration and we recommend shoes. Gloves, sifters, and trash bags will be provided.
WHEN: Saturday 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Please arrive by 7:45 am so we can get everyone checked in, use the restrooms, and prepare for the day. We will be headed down to the site promptly at 8:15 am.
WHERE: Meeting at the Kahuku Golf Course Beach, 56- 701 Kamehameha Hwy, Kahuku, HI 96731, 21.678367, -157.945022 Parking will be on the right side parking lot south of the main buildings. Carpooling is recommended so as not to create extra strain on the community. From the main parking lot, we will be taking the access road through the yellow gates and along the north end of the golf course, following the access road to the coastline.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS AN ACTIVE GOLF COURSE, SO PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE GOLFERS AND USE CAUTION WHEN WALKING THROUGH THE AREA.
