Meet Kohala Divers
Kohala Divers welcomes you to the beautiful, uncrowded Kohala Coast. Join us on our spacious dive boat Namaka, custom built with divers’ needs in mind. Namaka is named after a Hawaiian ocean goddess, and she delivers the royal treatment to all on board. With spacious decks and multiple seating and viewing areas, you have plenty of room to spread out and be in your own world at sea.
The Kohala Coast has the least rainfall on Hawaii Island, which leads to spectacularly clear waters. As the oldest part of the island, the reef has had time to develop into interesting ledges, arches, lava tubes, and tunnels teeming with sea life to explore. From the tiniest nudibranchs and invertebrates to large mantas, dolphins, turtles, reef sharks, and even seasonal humpback whales, our selection of over 20 sites boasts all the best diving Big Island has to offer.
What makes Kohala Divers really stand out is the amazing crew. Our crew loves diving, and they love sharing the ocean’s wonders with others. Group sizes are kept small and personal. Diving is never rushed, and we expertly cater to all levels of dive experience. Whether you are an experienced diver who dives globally or you are doing your first dive with us, you will leave with amazing memories and new friends!
The Kohala Divers team has over 30 years of experience on the Kohala Coast and is a recognized 5-star PADI facility.
Join us for a boat excursion, PADI class in our private pool, or let us get you outfitted with high-quality dive or snorkel gear to rent or buy to explore on your own. Our full-service dive center is fully equipped to meet all your dive, snorkel, and beach day needs on the big island.
