Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI® Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

- Tuesday – Classroom/Pool – 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
- Wednesday & Thursday – Pool – 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
- Saturday & Sunday – Open Water – 7 am – 12 pm (shore dives – included in cost) or 2 pm – 6:30 pm (boat dives – optional $100 cost with the group – per charter)

Requirements
- All divers must review the PADI Medical Questionnaire and understand if you answered ‘yes’ to any question you must have a physician sign the statement before any in-water training.
- All divers must provide height, weight, shoe size, and date of birth
- All divers MUST be able to swim and in good health
- Divers must be at the boat harbor 30 minutes before the scheduled boat dive to allow time for waivers and equipment fitting

Health & Safety
- Divers must NOT be flying within 24 hours of diving
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- All crew & passenger temperatures will be checked before boarding
- All gears are sanitized properly
- PADI standards do not allow introductory divers to use any form of camera equipment including hands-free cameras like ‘GoPros’ while diving, as your safety, is the primary concern
Additional Information
- The eLearning code will be emailed and can take 24-48 hours to arrive in your email. It takes approximately 12 hours to complete the eLearning before starting the first day of class. Failure to complete this will result in a forfeiture of the class with no refund.
- Once you receive the PADI eLearning code and open it, the eLearning fee becomes non-refundable.
- Dive Oahu’s boat is fully equipped with both a sun deck and a shaded deck, plenty of space to move around, and a restroom on board.
- 10% discount off masks, snorkel, and fins gave to students at our Kaka’ako location
- Fins must be designed for diving NOT snorkeling and you must prep a new mask after purchase
Cancellation Policy
- If a student does not meet course standards, he/she will be charged the following fees:
- $125 – Makeup pool session
- $179 – Makeup boat session
- Reservations canceled with at least 48 hours’ notice can be rescheduled or refunded, excluding the eLearning fee (if opened). There is no refund for eLearning once the code has been opened.
- Reservations canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice can be rescheduled for the $35 administrative rescheduling fee.
