Spend the morning viewing “life on the reef” on some of Kona’s pristine local reefs. Kona’s coastline is home to some of the most beautiful reefs Hawaii has to offer. There are about eight beautiful local reefs to choose from all within 15 minutes of the Honokohau harbor (our launching point). Most of these snorkeling sites are only accessible from a boat. Shorter boat rides mean more time snorkeling!

We head out of the harbor and look for marine life. Dolphins, whales (seasonal), manta rays, and even the elusive whale shark. All of which call the Kona coast their home. We choose our first snorkeling spot and head into our adventure guided by a professionally trained lifeguard-certified water guide. After experiencing the first reef, we take a break while talking about the cool stuff we just encountered on our snorkel and sharing some local stories of the island’s history. We then choose a second snorkeling spot to finish up our adventure. On the way home, we keep a lookout for more wildlife on the fun boat ride back to the harbor.

• Snacks & Drinks are provided during this trip
• Mask, snorkels, fins, and additional flotation provided (wetsuits upon request)
• Everyone should arrive on time or at least 15 mins. upon departure

Requirements

• Suitable for ages 5+
• Everyone in the group should have basic swimming skills. Non-swimmers are not permitted in the water
• Non-swimmers can enjoy the dramatic and spectacular coastline while relaxing in the sun
• Those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times
• Only reef-safe sunscreen is permitted – check your labels

Health and Safety 

• Expectant mothers or those with back or neck issues are not permitted on this tour due to the adventurous nature of this retired navy seal boat

• We reserve the right to cancel for any reason including, but not limited to weather, ocean conditions, passenger count, mechanical issues, safety for you, our guests, and our crew.
